Emergency Medical Services Technician

The Malaysian Red Crescent has more than 20 ambulances.These ambulances are manned by MRC trained Ambulance Medical Aides(AMAs). These AMAs have to undergo an intensive 3 months course in Advance First Aid and Basic Life Support and are then sent to various hospitals for practical training in Basic Trauma Care (BTC) or First Responder Life Support FRLS)...

Basic qualification

18 - 28 years only .Healthy and Fit. Weighs not more than 70kg at the time of application. SPM or equivalent with Credits in Maths ,Science, Bahasa and English (able to converse in other languages will be added advantage). Candidates must be computer literate. Training

Training will be held at the MRC institute. Allowances will be paid during the training. Practical training will be at Government or University Hospitals. Examinations will be assessment and written . Students who qualify MUST sign a five years contract to serve in the MRC Ambulance Service.

FIRST AID COURSES

1) Every Month effected February 2008:

  • 1st week (Sat,Sun) - Basic First Aid - RM 250 per person
  • 3rd week (Sat) - Introduction to First Aid & CPR - RM 150 per person
  • Place : Malaysian Red Crescent National Headquarters
  • Time : 8.30 a.m - 5.30 p.m
  • There will be theory and practical examination for certification
